As technology in the power generation industry changes along with technologies that reduce our overall energy demand, the continued availability of coal combustion products is also changing. The ready mix concrete industry requires the use of fly ash from coal combustion to produce high strength, low permeability concrete at an economical cost.
Please join ACI Wisconsin as WEC Energy Group Dr. Bruce Ramme speaks on the future of fly ash supply as seen through WEC Energy Group Combustion Production Utilization Program.
Bruce is Vice President of the Environmental Department at WEC Energy Group, a Professional Engineer, and earned his degrees from UW-Milwaukee. At WEC, he leads an environmental department of engineers and scientists responsible for all aspects of the electric, gas, and steam utility businesses. He is also a fellow of the American Concrete Institute and involved with several ACI-International committees. In addition to his involvement with ACI, he is also a member of the ASCE, Edison Electric Institute Environmental Executive Advisory Committee, and the Electric Power Research Institute Research Advisory Committee. Bruce has over 35 years of experience in the civil engineering industry and has published numerous technical reports, papers, and books.
