The technology chemically mineralizes waste carbon dioxide during the concrete manufacturing process to make greener and stronger concrete, reducing the carbon footprint of the concrete industry. It can be installed as a retrofit to existing plants. The carbon dioxide injection does not affect the fresh concrete's temperature, set time, workability, air content, or finishing process. Hardened properties such as pH, density, color, and texture are also unaffected.

The discussion will include the advantages and applications of injecting carbon dioxide into ready mix concrete and concrete masonry products, as well as the technology and benefits to the environment as well as the finished product.

Ted Jones has worked in product management, sales, and marketing with Oldcastle Precast, Contech Engineered Solutions, and The Fort Miller Co., Inc.  Earlier engineering experience includes environmental remediation, water resources, and transportation projects. Ted completed his BSc in civil engineering at Ohio University, MSc in civil engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA from The University of Texas at Dallas. Ted is a licensed professional engineer in Ohio, Texas, Oregon, Maine, Idaho, and Colorado.
