“The Challenges of Being Ethical in Organizations” will explore business ethics in terms of human nature. We will review the codes of ethics relevant to the American Concrete Institute and share stories about managing ethical challenges.

Denis Collins is Full Professor of Management at the Edgewood College School of Business in Madison, Wisconsin. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. Denis has published six books and numerous articles. Essentials in Business Ethics: Creating an Organization of High Integrity and Superior Performance (2009: John Wiley & Sons) provides practical “how-to” examples and best practices for improving an organization’s ethical performance, and is available as a Udemy online ethics training certificate at https://www.udemy.com/business-ethics-how-to-create-an-ethical-organization/.He has conducted hundreds of business ethics workshops, talks, and consulting projects. Denis currently serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Business Ethics and Journal of Academic Ethics, and has served on the board of directors for professional organizations and nonprofits. He has received several teaching and service awards.
